Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of progressive experience in hotel maintenance or related fields
- prior knowledge of door lock systems, construction tools, and equipment
- experience with laundry and kitchen equipment repair
- familiarity with hotel maintenance software applications
- ability to adhere to safety regulations and company policies
- current valid certifications relevant to trade requirements
- ability to perform physical tasks and work in varied environments
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- willingness to respond to emergency situations promptly
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Two years of progressive experience in hotels, construction, HVAC, or related fields
- prior knowledge and usage of door lock systems and construction tools
- experience with laundry, kitchen, and hotel equipment repair
- familiarity with hotel maintenance applications such as Quore
- experience with brand standards preferred
- current certifications required by federal, state, or local agencies pertaining to trade requirements such as HVAC or pool operation
Job Duties
- Adhere to all work order policies and procedures
- maintain and repair equipment in laundry, kitchen, guestrooms, events areas, restaurants, offices, and public spaces
- repair air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical fixtures to manufacturer's specifications
- maintain work areas clean and organized
- repair carpets, wall coverings, furniture, painted surfaces, and appliances
- change burned out light bulbs and perform cosmetic repairs
- complete interior and exterior detailed cleaning tasks
- maintain chemical levels in automatic mechanical systems
- maintain carts and inventory of supplies
- repair irrigation or sprinkler systems, remove and install water heaters
- report unsafe conditions immediately
- respond to employee emergencies using M.S.D.S. information
- participate in inspections of life-safety systems
- follow the preventive maintenance program
- handle guestroom maintenance requests promptly
- maintain files of operational manuals and warranties
- promptly investigate alarms and report findings
- attend all-employee meetings, fire drills, and trainings
- maintain key controls
- conduct daily property tours for debris removal, lighting and irrigation checks
