The role of Maintenance Technician at Trane Technologies involves maintaining and repairing machinery and auxiliary equipment critical to supporting multiple production lines. This position demands a skilled technician who can handle various maintenance tasks, including repairing tools, machines, and equipment, as well as fabricating specialized tools, carts, and equipment as needed by the facilities and operations teams. The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules to ensure continuous uptime and operational efficiency. The role requires effective communication with internal customers and supervisors, advising on equipment status and coordinating with external service providers for repairs and installation. The position also involves managing materials, preparing bills of material for major jobs, and prioritizing work to address the most urgent needs.

Candidates will engage with material handling equipment like hoists, lifts, carts, and forklifts to move items of varying weights safely and efficiently. Strict adherence to the plant's lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures is mandatory to maintain a safe working environment. This role calls for a versatile technician with competency in multiple crafts, strong mechanical and basic electrical skills, and the ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints. It also requires a motivated, self-starting individual who can maintain machines and building infrastructure at 100% uptime through robust preventative practices.
