Smithfield is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their fast-paced food processing plant team. This role is critical for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. The ideal Maintenance Technician is a versatile expert with skills in electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, and fabrication. They take pride in tackling both routine maintenance and challenging system repairs with agility and technical know-how. From creating work orders using SAP to responding promptly to emergencies, this individual is essential to keeping the plant operations running at optimal performance levels. This position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $22.75 to $26.75 per hour, plus a $0.25 hourly shift differential for second shift workers, along with an excellent benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and education benefits.
