The Maintenance Technician role at Kier Property Management is a part-time position, offering approximately 30 hours per week with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21 to $26. This job is crucial in supporting the upkeep, appearance, and overall functionality of multiple residential properties. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks including troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues, preparing vacant apartments for new occupants within designated timeframes, and addressing routine and emergency maintenance needs.

The technician plays a key role in maintaining resident satisfaction by ensuring a safe and pleasant living environment. Responsibilities include a mix of preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and preparation of apartments for new tenants. The job also requires managing a range of tasks such as drywall repair, painting, fixture and appliance replacement, tool maintenance, and coordination with site staff and vendors. The role may also involve participating in on-call rotations for emergency maintenance coverage and seasonal duties such as snow removal.
Candidates suited for this role will have a background in general maintenance with a preference for experience in multifamily housing. A strong attention to detail, reliability, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the capacity to work independently or within a team are essential qualities. Basic computer skills and documentation abilities are necessary to complete work orders and manage inventory efficiently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) certification required
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Ability to travel between assigned properties
- Must provide basic hand tools (power drill, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches)

- Experience in general maintenance, preferably in multifamily housing

Job Duties
- Perform general maintenance across assigned residential properties
- troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues
- prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins within established timelines
- complete work orders accurately and efficiently
- repair drywall, paint units, and replace fixtures or appliances as needed
- maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in clean working order
- coordinate with site staff and vendors to resolve maintenance issues
- assist with seasonal needs such as snow removal
- participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance coverage
- conduct move-in and move-out inspections
- support inventory tracking and parts organization
- provide responsive, professional service to residents
