Kansas City Steak, a subsidiary of National Beef located in Kansas City, Kansas, is currently looking for skilled professionals to join their Maintenance Team. The company offers a unique work schedule opportunity with full-time hours condensed into just four days per week, allowing for a better work-life balance. This position is ideal for candidates who have prior experience in maintenance roles within food production facilities, particularly those with expertise in electrical maintenance or ammonia and refrigeration systems. Additional incentives include a $3.00 per hour perfect attendance bonus paid weekly, along with quarterly and annual bonuses for attendance. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • demonstrated 2 years or more working in maintenance
  • mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
  • ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
  • basic computer skills
  • willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
  • ability to read, write and speak English preferred
  • strong work ethic and eye for detail
  • exemplary safety record with previous employer
  • strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • prior industry experience preferred
  • general knowledge of plant layout and production floor equipment and processes
  • applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • unable to provide visa sponsorship

Job Duties

  • Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
  • rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
  • performing preventative maintenance
  • installing equipment/machinery/parts
  • inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems as directed by supervisor
  • complete daily required reporting as well as additional reports as instructed
  • collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
