The Maintenance Technician role at the TI BLVD Gas Plant in Dallas, TX, focuses on the maintenance and reliable operation of the plant's mechanical equipment. This includes compressors, turbines, pumps, cooling towers, and other essential machinery. The position is on-site and requires hands-on troubleshooting, repair, testing, and implementation of preventative maintenance practices to ensure equipment uptime and efficiency. A key responsibility is driving a culture of safety by adhering strictly to Air Liquide’s safety policies, including Safe Work Permits, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and confined space safety protocols. The technician will also manage hazardous materials and waste programs, maintaining a clean and compliant work environment.

This role requires collaboration across different maintenance crafts and disciplines, emphasizing teamwork in facility upkeep. The technician will lead mechanical projects from initial planning to execution, ensuring quality and timely completion while managing contractors and vendors effectively. Additionally, they will oversee the mechanical spare parts inventory, promoting operational readiness and minimizing downtime.

Candidates must be prepared for callouts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays, and should be willing to assist at other company sites within the U.S. annually. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, operate forklifts and JLG lifts, and enter confined spaces with appropriate personal protective equipment.

Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Familiar with pipefitter and millwright terminology and technical materials
  • 5+ years industrial plant maintenance experience
  • Familiar with rotating machinery including compressors, pumps, turbines
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and safety requirements
  • Ability to understand and comply with company quality systems
  • Ability to comply with all safety regulations on company or customer property
  • Expertise in forklift and JLG equipment operation
  • Ability to work callouts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Willingness to assist other US sites for two weeks per year
  • Able to climb ladders and work off elevated platforms
  • Able to work in non-conditioned environments
  • Able to enter confined spaces for inspection and work
  • Able to wear necessary PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, FRC, steel-toed shoes

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in industrial plant maintenance
  • Familiar with pipefitter and millwright terminology and materials
  • Knowledgeable in rotating machinery such as compressors, pumps, and turbines
  • Experienced in safe work practices and safety requirements
  • Ability to comply with quality systems and report deficiencies
  • Expertise in forklift and JLG operation
  • Ability to work callouts, nights, weekends, and possible holidays
  • Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Willingness to assist other US sites annually
  • Able to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms
  • Able to work in non-conditioned environments for extended periods
  • Able to enter confined spaces and wear appropriate PPE

Job Duties

  • Drive the reliability of facility by overseeing mechanical equipment upkeep including compressors, turbines, pumps, cooling towers
  • Optimize plant performance through expert troubleshooting and corrective and preventative actions
  • Maintain mechanical integrity by dismantling machinery and replacing defective parts with precision
  • Modernize preventative maintenance program for critical assets like pressure safety valves using CMMS for record-keeping
  • Collaborate with other maintenance crafts fostering a unified team approach
  • Lead mechanical projects from initial scoping to final implementation including bidding, scheduling, and contractor quality oversight
  • Take ownership of mechanical spare parts program to ensure operational readiness
  • Guide onsite contractors and vendors to align activities with company standards
