Maintenance Technician

Currently, Cottonwood Residential is seeking a skilled and experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join their team at Fox Point within Old Farm Apartments in Millcreek, Utah. This full-time position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including full health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance available shortly after employment begins. The Apartment Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the apartment complex by performing repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general household and building grounds maintenance. The technician must be capable of working independently and as part of a team, handling on-call duties, including after-hours emergency services with the support of the Service Manager. Physical demands of the position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate difficult terrain and confined spaces. A valid driver’s license is required, as is EPA Type II or Universal certification. Additional certifications such as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) are considered advantageous.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to effectively interact with residents and team members and to process company paperwork accurately. The role demands technical proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC systems and the ability to follow safety standards and operating manuals carefully.
