Dura-Line is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Salt Lake City, UT facility, specifically for the night shift. This full-time role offers a competitive starting pay of $28 per hour, with increases depending on experience, along with an attractive $1,500 sign-on bonus. The position follows a unique 2-2-3 scheduling model from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM, allowing technicians to work only 15 days each month. As a Maintenance Technician at Dura-Line, you will play a vital role in supporting production departments, with a primary focus on the Extrusion department. This position requires familiarity with power transmission equipment such as bearings, gears, and sprockets, along with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Maintenance Technicians must be comfortable using voltmeters, welders, and hand tools to conduct repairs and upkeep on motors, pumps, electrical circuits, and resin systems. The job also involves maintaining ancillary equipment like tape feeders, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, and other essential machinery. A keen commitment to safety, maintaining a clean work area, and fabricating equipment to support production needs round out the diverse and engaging duties of this role.

To be successful, candidates should have over one year of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, a thorough understanding of safety codes, and the ability to perform basic math and measurements. Familiarity with MS Excel and basic computer skills are also essential. Physically, the role expects technicians to be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, spending long hours on foot around hot machinery, climbing to various heights, and consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
