Beyond the forecourt, the Facilities Technician is tasked with backcourt maintenance such as carpentry, plumbing, and lighting repairs to ensure the facilities remain in excellent condition.
The Facilities Technician role requires proactive engagement through regular facility walk-through inspections approximately once a month to identify maintenance needs early and address them promptly. The technician will handle repairs they are trained and certified to complete, and for any services outside their scope, they coordinate with third-party contractors, ensuring all work is tracked and managed efficiently through work orders. Maintaining all relevant trainings and certifications is an integral part of the job to guarantee high-quality service and compliance with safety standards.
Aloha’s Facilities Technician completes a wide array of duties, including maintaining fuel dispensing equipment and underground storage tank components, servicing POS and tank monitoring systems, performing general maintenance tasks such as touch-up painting, parking lot repairs, and overall property upkeep. The job also encompasses completing maintenance work orders within set deadlines, inspecting facilities for safety, security, and compliance, and handling any identified issues professionally and safely with appropriate adherence to material safety data sheets.
This role involves working outside and inside retail facilities, often in varying weather conditions, and requires frequent travel to different locations. The Facilities Technician uses various tools and equipment, including company vehicles, forecourt maintenance tools, hand and power tools, safety gear, and occasionally operates forklifts and man-lifts after certification.
