Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at WESTON, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the property remains in optimum condition and that residents receive prompt and reliable service. This full-time position requires dedication and hands-on involvement in various maintenance tasks ranging from routine repairs to emergency fixes across common areas, occupied and vacant units, and throughout the property grounds. Your impact extends beyond technical skills—you will be instrumental in enhancing residents' quality of life by responding promptly to service requests, proactively identifying potential hazards, and assisting in resolving them efficiently.

In this role, you will apply your skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and landscaping while also supporting other maintenance team members. Responsibilities include changing lightbulbs, fixing faucets, unclogging pipes, replacing locks, performing floor tile installation and repair, painting interiors and exteriors, and carrying out routine inspections of appliances, A/C systems, plumbing fixtures, and safety devices. Additionally, you will assist with trash outs and unit turnovers to prepare homes professionally for new tenants.

The Maintenance Technician is expected to be detail-oriented, observant, and a proactive problem solver who is passionate about making a tangible impact on the community and team. You must possess a valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation. The job demands physical stamina, as it involves being on your feet for long hours, moving heavy objects, climbing, stooping, bending, and performing visual inspections requiring keen attention to detail.

This role operates on a rotating on-call schedule requiring availability for after-hours and weekend emergencies, underscoring the importance of flexibility. The position's daily hours generally span from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays off; however, hours may vary according to seasonal needs and resident activities.
