The Maintenance Technician role is critical to the smooth operation of the stores, as it involves performing a wide array of maintenance and repair duties both inside and outside the store buildings. This position requires regular travel to approximately 10-15 Kohl's locations, for which mileage expenses are reimbursed. Kohl's provides all necessary tools to ensure that the technician can perform tasks effectively and efficiently. The pay range for this full-time role is between $21.00 and $26.00 per hour, reflective of the experience and expertise the candidate brings to the job.

As a Maintenance Technician at Kohl's, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include maintaining interior lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, and performing general store repairs. The role also encompasses exterior maintenance duties such as building painting, curb and ramp painting, power washing, and minor repairs related to landscaping, signage, concrete, and asphalt. This hands-on role is essential in preserving the visual appearance and structural integrity of the stores.

In addition to performing maintenance tasks, the technician must identify issues that require assistance from external vendors and document these concerns using Kohl's Web Based Facilities Management program for proper tracking and follow-up. Strong communication skills are important as the technician will provide detailed recaps after store visits, reporting on successes and areas needing attention. Furthermore, the Maintenance Technician will assist store teams by offering solutions to enhance the store's cleanliness and overall presentation, helping Kohl's maintain its reputation for excellence.
