Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in food services and facilities management, dedicated to improving the quality of life for those it serves across a multitude of industries including corporate, healthcare, education, and energy sectors. With a strong commitment to environmental progress and social responsibility, Sodexo operates worldwide, offering an integrated suite of services that range from food catering and cleaning to facility and maintenance management. The company values diversity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring a respectful and supportive work environment where all employees can thrive and contribute their unique talents. As a responsible employer, Sodexo adheres to equal employment opportunity principles, emphasizing fair treatment and workplace inclusivity for all individuals regardless of background or identity.

This particular career opportunity is for the role of a Maintenance Technician within a Major Oil & Gas Company, facilitated by Sodexo. The position is full-time with a pay range between $23 and $27 per hour, reflective of the candidate's skills and experience. The role requires flexibility to work varying weekday shifts, with a preference for open availability to accommodate diverse scheduling needs. As a Maintenance Technician with Sodexo in this challenging and dynamic industry, you play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety by applying your technical expertise to a wide variety of maintenance tasks.

The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on problem solver responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs across different skill areas such as minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repairs, machine servicing, and vehicle servicing. The technician attends to routine and minor repairs—including changing light bulbs, installing dispensers, replacing filters, and performing minor decorative maintenance—tasks that do not require a licensed tradesperson but demand a high level of attention to detail and safety awareness. Punctuality and reliability are important as you are expected to attend scheduled shifts with regularity. Duties may vary among different client accounts based on operational needs and business priorities, making adaptability a key component of success in this role.

Candidates should be team-oriented and committed to nurturing a safe and healthy work environment. The role requires at least two years of related maintenance experience and appropriate licensing or certification relevant to the work and geographical location. Additionally, possessing a valid driver’s license is necessary due to the potential travel requirements between different sites or job locations.

Sodexo is committed to offering a flexible and supportive work environment that prioritizes work-life balance, ensuring employees can be present for important life moments. The company invests in ongoing employee development through training and career advancement opportunities, helping you transform this job into a fulfilling career. The comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, a 401k plan, discount programs, and possibly site-specific perks such as shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, public transportation support, or parking assistance.

Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a global community focused on creating better everyday experiences, promoting sustainability, and fostering inclusion. The company embraces its core values of respect, fairness, and belonging, making Sodexo a rewarding and equitable employer for maintenance professionals eager to grow and make a tangible impact in the oil and gas sector.
