The Maintenance Technician role at The Delaney at The Vale is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring the optimal condition and safety of the community’s residential apartments and communal areas. The individual in this role plays a vital part in maintaining a secure, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere for all residents and staff. This full-time position, offering either a Wednesday through Sunday or Saturday through Wednesday work schedule and providing an hourly wage between $26 and $29, demands proficient skills in general maintenance and repair. The Maintenance Technician handles various tasks ranging from electrical fixes, plumbing repairs, light fixture replacements, and door and lock maintenance to assisting with HVAC equipment troubleshooting. Furthermore, this role involves responding promptly to emergency maintenance calls and efficiently completing all maintenance work orders with detailed documentation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior maintenance experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and basic carpentry
  • Ability to respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Prefer knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring, HVAC, and appliances
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff
  • Must function under general supervision
  • Must possess the ability to effectively work with residents and staff

Job Duties

  • Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and locks
  • Assists in providing initial response for malfunction of residential HVAC equipment and performs resets and simple repairs as necessary
  • Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
  • Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the tasks performed along with all prescribed pertinent equipment information
  • Will assist other Maintenance personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs including campus snow removal
  • Assists in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks
