As the company continues to expand and refine the standards of excellence in property management, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. The Maintenance Technician role is pivotal for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential communities managed by Barkan. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks across the property. These include painting, electrical work, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, HVAC troubleshooting, window and glass repairs, door and lock repairs, and various minor fixes in common areas. The individual will also engage in physical plant preventive maintenance, emergency response, and routine upkeep, ensuring the entire property remains in excellent condition. Additionally, the role involves completing work orders, assisting with grounds maintenance to keep the community clean and inviting, and inspecting buildings and grounds regularly. Special projects assigned by the Superintendent or Property Manager may also be part of the duties, alongside after-hours emergency on-call services approximately every other week.

This position requires a hands-on approach, the ability to work independently while fostering teamwork, and an organized, detail-oriented mindset. The candidate must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and physically capable of performing duties such as lifting weights up to 50 pounds and using ladders safely. Familiarity with general maintenance tools and safety procedures is essential.
