The role of Maintenance Technician at Hillpointe is a key position responsible for the technical and mechanical upkeep of the properties under management. The Maintenance Technician ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet high standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. This role is essential for maintaining resident satisfaction, preserving property value, and supporting efficient property management operations.

The Maintenance Technician handles various tasks such as completing work orders for resident requests and preventive maintenance, conducting thorough inspections, preparing vacant apartments for new tenants, managing inventory, ordering supplies, maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with grounds upkeep, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and participating in safety protocols. Hillpointe highly values attention to detail and effective communication in this role, as the Technician coordinates with management, residents, vendors, and contractors to meet property needs efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • related experience and/or training in maintenance
  • ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
  • effective communication skills
  • participation in rotating on-call schedule including weekend, evening, and morning availability
  • must have valid driver’s license
  • willingness to obtain EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
  • adherence to safety protocols and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues within buildings and common areas
  • thoroughness in completing tasks such as pre-move-out inspections, maintenance work orders, and documentation
  • managing inventory, scheduling vendors and contractors, obtaining supplies, and tracking materials
  • adhering to safety protocols and participating in safety meetings
  • effective communication with management, residents, vendors, and contractors
  • must have or be willing to obtain EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
  • valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property
  • high school diploma or GED with related experience and/or training
