The company is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join their team at a student housing property located near the University of Kentucky (UK). This full-time position is vital to ensuring the safety, functionality, and appealing appearance of the property. The Maintenance Tech II will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, handle repairs promptly, and provide essential support to the day-to-day operations of the housing facility, contributing significantly to resident satisfaction and overall property quality. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of property maintenance or related experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand/walk for the majority of the day
- Willingness to obtain HVAC and CPO certifications if needed
- Strong communication and resident relation skills
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of property maintenance or related experience
- Working knowledge of maintenance tools, safety procedures and general repair practices
- Willingness to obtain certifications in HVAC and CPO or other relevant certifications if needed
- Strong resident relation skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand/walk for the majority of the day
Job Duties
- Complete work orders promptly and efficiently including maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and service requests
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure all equipment including but not limited to HVAC, appliances, etc. are in good working order
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas, grounds, and apartment units, identifying and addressing maintenance concerns and safety hazards
- Complete/assist unit turns and inspections
- Maintain the curb appeal of the property by performing landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal duties when needed
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations
