Job Description
Our company is a well-established facility focused on providing comprehensive maintenance services to ensure optimal operation and safety of our infrastructure. We specialize in the upkeep and repair of all facility and building systems, promoting a safe and efficient work environment. The company prides itself on employing skilled professionals who maintain the property's physical condition to the highest standards through preventive and corrective measures. Our commitment to quality maintenance operations is reflected in our team-oriented approach and emphasis on technical expertise and continued development within the maintenance trades.
The role of Maintenance Technician II is a vital position within our maintenance department. This position requires an individual who can effectively perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on various building and facility systems. The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for specialized repairs in their area of technical expertise, ensuring that all systems operate reliably. In addition to technical tasks, the role includes general upkeep and maintenance of the grounds and site, contributing to a well-maintained and safe work environment.
This position is a full-time role with work hours from Monday to Friday, 11 pm to 7 am, accommodating those who prefer or are suited to off-shift work. Given the timing of these hours, the company offers shift differentials of up to $6.00 per hour for qualifying shifts, recognizing the unique demands of overnight work. Additionally, employees in this role have the opportunity to earn quarterly off-shift bonuses, providing further financial incentives and rewarding dedication to off-hour maintenance operations.
The Maintenance Technician II will also provide plant operation and shift oversight as necessary, demonstrating leadership and the ability to manage critical aspects of facility operations during their shift. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and coordinating with other team members to uphold continuous facility functionality.
Candidates for this position are required to have a High School diploma or GED along with a State Journeyman's License in a relevant trade such as Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or certification as a Chief Engineer or Class II (NILUPE). In cases where licensure is not held, candidates with substantial experience in specialty trades such as HVAC or Refrigeration Technician with over five years of experience in mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or plumbing trades may also be considered. A valid Vermont driver's license and a safe driving record are mandatory, highlighting the importance of transportation responsibility related to this role.
Experience requirements include two to three years of relevant work in related trades, ensuring that the individual has the necessary hands-on skills and knowledge to perform demanding maintenance tasks efficiently and independently. On-site parking is available to employees, facilitating convenient access to the facility for those working night shifts.
This position is ideal for highly motivated maintenance professionals looking to advance their careers in a supportive and well-resourced environment. By joining our team, employees benefit from competitive pay, additional shift incentives, and a role that challenges their technical expertise and professionalism within a diverse range of building systems and maintenance activities.
