Employees at AMAVIDA have the unique opportunity to engage with some of the wisest individuals on earth, gaining insight and inspiration from the incredible life stories shared within their communities. This environment fosters personal growth, professional development, and a deep sense of purpose.
The role of Maintenance Tech at AMAVIDA is a critical position focused on hospitality and facility upkeep to ensure a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing environment for all residents and staff. This position involves maintaining equipment, utilities, building infrastructure, and grounds using approved community methods. A key responsibility is assisting in the upkeep of emergency power generation and fire life safety equipment, as well as supporting fire drills and safety inspections to maintain regulatory compliance. The Maintenance Tech acts as a responsive problem-solver, addressing and resolving service requests promptly to minimize disruptions and uphold high operational standards. Collaboration with the department Director is essential for maintaining the community's physical plant and grounds in excellent condition, thereby projecting a positive image to residents and the wider public. Maintaining maintenance schedules and documenting the progress of service requests further ensures that work is efficiently managed and transparent.
This full-time role typically requires working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and some holiday shifts, reflecting the continuous nature of senior living care. The pay range for this position goes up to $24 per hour, dependent on the candidate’s experience and certifications, such as HVAC credentials. Prior experience in senior living or healthcare settings is highly valued, as it equips the Maintenance Tech with an understanding of the unique requirements of these environments. HVAC expertise is especially helpful, with certification preferred, to expertly manage heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems critical to the comfort and safety of residents.
AMAVIDA invites enthusiastic and compassionate professionals who are passionate about hospitality and senior engagement to apply for this rewarding Maintenance Tech position. Joining the AMAVIDA team means becoming part of a community dedicated to excellent senior care, workplace investment, and meaningful work that extends far beyond the typical maintenance role. Prospective applicants can expect a supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of seniors. AMAVIDA is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in its workforce and workplace practices.
