Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in maintenance or a related field
- Knowledge of mechanical and technical repair procedures
- Familiarity with safety standards including OSHA regulations
- Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple work orders
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capacity to handle physical demands of the maintenance role
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in maintenance or related technical field
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues
- Experience managing vendor and contractor work quality
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Effective customer service and communication skills
- Ability to complete preventative maintenance and handle emergency repairs efficiently
Job Duties
- Assist and complete work orders generated from resident requests
- Diagnose defect sources and make repairs following policies and safety standards
- Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant apartment homes including inspections and coordinating contractors
- Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of community grounds, buildings, and amenities
- Periodically inspect work performed by service team members and contractors to ensure quality standards
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials and coordinate supply orders with Community Manager
- Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in company policies
- Support cost-cutting and expense control programs by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible
- Conduct regularly scheduled safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety laws
- Demonstrate customer service skills by respectfully interacting with residents and handling maintenance complaints efficiently
