Job Description
Fairfield is a recognized leader in the multifamily housing industry known for its dedication to creating exceptional apartment living experiences. With operations spanning in-house development, construction, acquisition, and property and asset management services, Fairfield is a vertically integrated company focused on quality, innovation, and community-building. The company places a strong emphasis on investing in its workforce and fosters a culture grounded in trust, support, and collaboration. Employees at Fairfield are encouraged to bring forward new ideas, grow professionally through continuous learning and mentoring, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s ongoing success. Working at Fairfield means being part of a professional environment dedicated to both individual growth and collective achievement, supported by competitive compensation, benefits, and a commitment to work-life balance.
Valley Ridge is a community consisting of 192 apartment units managed under Fairfield’s portfolio. The company strives to create communities that residents are proud to call home by ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing. The role available at this property is that of a Maintenance Supervisor, a position combining hands-on technical maintenance skills with leadership responsibilities. This full-time role reports directly to property management and involves overseeing all maintenance operations to maintain the property’s high standards and resident satisfaction.
As a Maintenance Supervisor at Fairfield, you will lead a team responsible for keeping the community safe, functional, and attractive. This role goes beyond routine repairs; it involves planning and managing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating emergency repairs during after-hours, and using property management software such as Yardi to handle service requests effectively. You will also manage budgets for maintenance supplies, ensure compliance with all safety and company policies, and provide leadership that fosters a dedicated and skilled maintenance team. The role demands excellent customer service skills as it involves direct interaction with residents to address their maintenance needs and concerns promptly.
Fairfield offers a supportive environment that values employee development, providing opportunities for career advancement and ongoing learning through training, coaching, and mentoring programs. This environment empowers associates to take initiative and be a driver of positive change within the community. The company supports work-life balance and community involvement through benefits such as paid time off, paid volunteer time off, comprehensive health insurance options, and a competitive 401(k) matching program. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $29.14 to $32.24, reflecting experience and skills, along with a sign-on bonus available after 90 days of employment for new hires (excluding current Fairfield employees).
Candidates for this role must possess certifications such as HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal, with preference given to those holding the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days. Maintenance experience in apartment or building settings, supervisory experience, and familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software are essential. Strong knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair is required. The ability to communicate effectively in English and hold a valid driver’s license is mandatory. If you are motivated to lead a team that ensures community pride through exceptional maintenance services, Fairfield invites you to apply and join their dedicated workforce.
