Job Description
Three Rivers Behavioral Health is a premier 136-bed treatment facility dedicated to providing exceptional behavioral health and substance abuse services to both adolescents and adults. Situated conveniently between major highways I-20 and I-26 in West Columbia, South Carolina, this facility operates as part of Universal Health Services, Inc., one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare providers. This affiliation brings a wealth of resources, expertise, and a robust support network, underscoring Three Rivers Behavioral Health's commitment to delivering high-quality care. With a professional team of over 300 employees specializing in psychiatry, medicine, nursing, social services, and activity therapy, the facility serves hundreds of patients each month, striving to foster new beginnings through comprehensive and integrated treatment programs, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient care. The workplace culture is often described as a family atmosphere supported by strong leadership and a shared mission of making life-changing impacts on patients' lives.
The Maintenance Supervisor role at Three Rivers Behavioral Health is integral to the smooth operation and safety of the facility. The position requires overseeing routine and preventive maintenance activities that ensure the physical environment remains safe, functional, and conducive to recovery and wellness for patients, employees, and visitors. This role is critical because the condition of the physical plant and its equipment directly influences the comfort, safety, and operational efficiency of the treatment center. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a maintenance team, manage repairs, upkeep mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and conduct regular safety inspections. Working in a healthcare environment demands sensitivity to patient needs and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within the Universal Health Services network and includes a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee wellness and career development. This role requires a hands-on, skilled professional who can balance technical expertise with effective team leadership and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and quality within the behavioral health setting.
