Conagra Brands is a leading packaged foods company headquartered in the United States, known for its rich heritage of creating great food products and iconic brands such as Birds Eye, Slim Jim, and Reddi-Wip. Established as a leader in the food industry, Conagra Brands operates in over 40 locations with a dedicated workforce of more than 18,000 employees. The company prides itself on fostering an energized, inclusive culture that encourages innovation, career growth, and community involvement. Committed to making a positive impact, Conagra continually embraces new solutions that benefit both its team members and the broader communities it serves, while prioritizing sustainability and the health of the planet. The company supports its workforce through various well-being programs, comprehensive benefits, and career development opportunities.

The Maintenance Manager position at Conagra Brands' facility in Kent, Washington, is a full-time role offering an annual base salary ranging from $81,000 to $100,000. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the individual in this role will oversee the maintenance department, production lines, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient operations. This position carries significant responsibility in scheduling work and personnel to meet production demands, maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and helping the plant meet its safety, reliability, and uptime goals.

The Maintenance Manager will take charge of planning and scheduling maintenance team activities with an emphasis on controlling labor costs while meeting production needs. Monitoring downtime events, implementing corrective actions, and tracking production line performance are essential aspects of the role. The successful candidate will be expected to identify mechanical and maintenance trends to proactively address issues before they impact production. This role also includes training, motivating, and directing team members to uphold food safety standards, operational goals, and plant safety protocols.

Additionally, the Maintenance Manager will maintain cooperative relationships with regulatory officials, including USDA representatives, ensuring that machinery and equipment are maintained to support a safe working environment. The role requires enforcing plant safety programs and compliance with OSHA regulations, managing purchasing activities for maintenance supplies and repair parts, and maintaining equipment for optimal operation within budget and regulatory requirements. Continuous improvement of maintenance team performance and production line efficiency is a key focus, alongside ownership of programs such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, compressor analysis, and infrared thermography as part of the predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.

Candidates should be adept at evaluating maintenance strategies and frequencies to optimize resources and maximize equipment reliability. This position requires someone skilled in mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles, knowledgeable about preventive and predictive maintenance systems, and experienced in managing budgets and labor costs in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably SAP Plant Maintenance, is also highly valued.

The role demands physical activity, including walking around the facility, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting materials. Candidates should be prepared to work in a manufacturing setting with large, moving equipment, potentially high noise levels, and varying temperatures. Conagra Brands is dedicated to offering an empowering workplace where safety, innovation, and employee development are prioritized. Joining the company means becoming part of a passionate team committed to excellence in food manufacturing and operational efficiency, with access to extensive benefits and growth opportunities.
