This role focuses on managing the Site Safety Program and driving excellence in operational performance to support ATS's mission of enhancing factory productivity and safety. The position involves leadership responsibilities in inspiring and providing clarity on vision and strategy, promoting ATS culture, and supporting employee learning and growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, ensuring adherence to safety policies, managing performance metrics, and facilitating a culture that champions Beyond Zero initiatives for employee wellness. This role also demands a hands-on approach to managing operational systems, work orders, and expenses, while maintaining excellent communication to sustain positive and profitable customer relationships. The candidate will play a pivotal role in strategic implementation and continuous improvement efforts, driving the alignment of site actions with broader company goals.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • strong computer skills including Microsoft applications, web-based applications, and CMMS software
  • foundational business acumen including understanding contracts and customer business, negotiation, billing models, financial experience, and relationship building
  • planner or scheduler experience is ideal

Job Duties

  • Manages the Site Safety Program and ensures all policies are being followed by employees
  • drives housekeeping standards including 5S
  • demonstrates leadership for employee safety and wellness through Beyond Zero initiatives
  • develops and displays understanding of site-level and company-wide strategic initiatives
  • supports positive change and ensures effective implementation of new processes and procedures
  • communicates with the team to promote understanding of site actions and strategic objectives
  • drives day-to-day execution of team-related responsibilities using leadership competencies
  • displays self-motivated and emotionally intelligent behaviors
  • manages employee performance and provides development opportunities
  • mentors and coaches employees on career planning, training, and skills development
  • leads and ensures the Operating System is understood and embedded
  • assists Site Manager in measuring and reporting maintenance performance indicators and addressing issues
  • communicates and escalates priorities, issues, and equipment status to customers
  • assists Site Manager in managing expenses such as labor, overtime, and material consumption
  • approves overtime worked by the team
  • reviews work orders and ensures adherence to work schedules
  • conducts and participates in team meetings as an influential leader
