Job Description

Valor Hospitality is a premier hotel management company recognized for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence in the hospitality industry. With a strong global perspective, Valor Hospitality goes beyond traditional service to deliver true hospitality that incorporates enthusiasm, creativity, and a local flair to every property it supports. This company is a trendsetter in the hospitality market, trusted by owners, investors, and developers alike as a reliable and forward-thinking partner to drive revenue growth and increase profits. They pride themselves on valuing relationships, maintaining high standards, and creating meaningful guest experiences. Their team is made up of passionate and detail-oriented hotel professionals dedicated to fostering an environment of respect, communication, and open-minded collaboration. Valor Hospitality also emphasizes career advancement opportunities, encouraging associates to bring innovative ideas that enhance productivity and professionalism.

The role of Engineer Class I within Valor Hospitality is a critical position that supports the technical and operational facets of hotel maintenance and engineering. This role involves supervising engineering staff, performing maintenance tasks, and handling both administrative and technical responsibilities. Reporting to the Engineer Supervisor, Chief Engineer, or Director of Engineering, the Engineer Class I is expected to have solid hands-on skills in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical systems, and related repairs. This position also involves assisting in the management of the engineering team through scheduling, training, payroll preparation, and performance evaluations. The Engineer Class I plays an important part in energy conservation initiatives, overseeing life and safety systems including fire, elevator, emergency lighting, and power generating equipment. Additionally, the role requires purchasing and inventory management, and occasionally taking on special projects or hotel committee assignments.

Those who thrive in this role are individuals who bring a mix of technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a passion for hospitality. Detailed attention to the property’s operational needs and a commitment to guest safety and satisfaction stand as fundamental attributes of success. Valor Hospitality offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive salary, daily pay options, health benefits, and a culture that rewards team members through recognition programs and development opportunities. This position is ideal for candidates with a high school education or equivalent experience, and one to two years of related employment, combined with a working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services. If you have a knack for problem-solving, a love for the hospitality industry, and a desire to grow professionally, Valor Hospitality’s Engineer Class I role is a compelling opportunity to make an impact within a respected and dynamic organization.
