Tower Semiconductor offers a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, making it an ideal place for individuals passionate about growth and advancement in the semiconductor technology field.
The Maintenance Technician role at Tower Semiconductor is a critical position charged with ensuring the smooth operation of various specialized equipment used within the company. This role encompasses maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and mentoring concerning electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled machinery. The technician will have the primary responsibility of sustaining peak equipment performance to minimize downtime and ensure continuous productivity.
This position requires a proactive and versatile individual who can operate independently with little to no supervision. The Maintenance Technician will also assist in scheduling and setting up maintenance routines, writing and modifying work instructions, and performing preventive inspections and necessary repairs on building and factory systems. Key systems include air conditioning and refrigeration units, compressed gas and vacuum systems, electrical systems, water purification setups such as RO/DI systems, control and monitoring systems, and general building infrastructure.
In addition to these operational duties, the Maintenance Technician will manage medium to large-sized projects by coordinating contractors, sourcing parts, ordering supplies, and collaborating with other team members. This role demands strong analytical skills to study inspection logs and preemptively address equipment failures. Training other operators and team members in various maintenance tasks is an essential component, underscoring the leadership aspect of this position.
The role operates on a designated shift schedule from midnight to noon on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Wednesday. Compensation ranges from $21.32 to $32.35 per hour, reflecting the skill level and responsibility entrusted to the individual in this role. The company supports and encourages continuous professional development and hands-on experience.
