Job Description

Morgan Properties is a nationally recognized real estate investment and management company that was established in 1985 by Mitchell Morgan and is headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The company has grown tremendously over the years, with Jonathan and Jason Morgan leading the next generation of leadership to oversee business operations and expand the platform. Today, Morgan Properties and its affiliates own and manage a vast multifamily portfolio consisting of more than 400 apartment communities and over 110,000 units spread across 22 states. The company distinguishes itself as one of the three largest multifamily property owners in the United States and holds the distinction of being the largest multifamily owner in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York. With a workforce exceeding 2,600 employees, Morgan Properties is known for its fast decision-making capabilities, strong capital relationships, and exceptional operational expertise, which have contributed to its ongoing success and growth in the real estate sector.

The Maintenance Technician role at Morgan Properties is an exciting opportunity to join a prominent property management company that manages a 993-unit apartment community. This position is ideal for a skilled and motivated technician who enjoys challenges and delivering exceptional customer service. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting a wide range of maintenance issues encompassing HVAC systems, general appliances, carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing. Your role is crucial in ensuring that residents’ homes are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable. Attention to detail and the ability to efficiently respond to maintenance service requests are essential to your success.

Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will be tasked with maintaining both interior and exterior areas of the property to meet company standards, comply with legal requirements, and uphold property compliance guidelines. Clear and professional communication with residents and office staff about repair statuses and updates is an important part of this role, ensuring transparency and resident satisfaction.

Working at Morgan Properties offers competitive compensation with base pay ranging from $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. The company provides appealing incentives such as up to a 50% rent discount, shared renewal commissions among property staff, quarterly bonuses through the Morgan Essentials program, and daily on-call appreciation pay for those holding the on-call phone. Employees also benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and generous paid time off that includes 10 holidays annually plus sick leave. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with paid rotating on-call duties requiring readiness for emergency situations. This position requires a candidate who possesses an active driver’s license, personal vehicle, and ideally HVAC/EPA/CFC certification, along with at least one year of relevant experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience within a reasonable commuting distance from the property.

Joining Morgan Properties as a Maintenance Technician means becoming part of an industry-leading team that values expertise, proactive problem-solving, and superior service delivery in the multifamily housing market. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the comfort and quality of life of thousands of residents while advancing your career within a dynamic and stable organization.
