This opening is for a Maintenance Planner position focused on ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant operations. The Maintenance Planner will develop and prepare detailed work packages for use by maintenance departments and contractors. This role is crucial for coordinating corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and modifications in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards. The planner will work closely with various departments including Work Management, Supply, and Engineering to resolve priorities and address work package issues, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include conducting field walk-downs to assess maintenance needs, defining procedures and necessary materials, verifying compliance of work instructions, coordinating outages, and managing multiple projects with established priorities to achieve results. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2 years power plant maintenance and/or operations experience or Associate's degree with 4 years power plant maintenance and/or operations experience or High school diploma/GED with 6 years power plant maintenance and/or operations experience
- Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2 years power plant maintenance and/or operations experience
- Associate's degree with 4 years power plant maintenance and/or operations experience
- High school diploma/GED with 6 years power plant maintenance and/or operations experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Experience with Hyperion system
- 5 years planning experience in a power plant environment
Job Duties
- Prepare work instructions and work packages to assist the planners that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation of modifications
- Interface with Work Management, Supply and Engineering to identify and resolve priorities and work package issues utilizing excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Define procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to performing planned work packages
- Conduct field walk-downs to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification activities
- Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable station procedures
- Review all required work packages and submit for approval before executing
- Manage multiple projects, establish work priorities and achieve results
- Assist in planned and forced outage coordination as required
- All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
