The Maintenance Mechanic / Team Lead Line Technician role is a key position within the company's manufacturing plant in Chicago, IL, operating on the 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am Monday through Friday. This full-time, union position offers a competitive base pay rate of $41.13 per hour, with an additional $0.45 shift differential and a $2.00 shift premium. Furthermore, employees may receive a pay grade increase based on skills assessment in welding, machining, or electrical expertise.

This role is vital to maintaining and improving the operational efficiency of production lines. As a Maintenance Mechanic / Team Lead Line Technician, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical operators while performing a broad range of mechanical maintenance activities. These activities include repairing and maintaining machinery such as packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and processing machines that are central to the manufacturing process. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance work orders aimed at reducing downtime and ensuring smooth production flow. The role requires high levels of troubleshooting skills across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyance systems, enabling proactive identification and resolution of equipment malfunctions before they impact production schedules.

Safety and quality compliance are paramount in this position. You will adhere to all established safety policies and quality standards while performing job tasks.
