The Mid-Shift Maintenance Technician role at Latitude 36 Foods offers an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals to join a dynamic team working during the Tuesday through Saturday evening shift, from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with potential overtime and weekend work as required. This position is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of various packaging machines, support equipment, and system equipment that are vital to the company’s production lines. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with strict USDA/FDA regulations. The pay rate starts at $29.75 per hour, with an additional shift differential of $0.50 per hour for overnight work, making this a competitive and rewarding role.

The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that production equipment is operating at peak efficiency, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborating with other departments to maintain production schedules and quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting preventative maintenance checks, creating maintenance reports, clearing machine jams, conducting inspections on product quality, and assisting other personnel as needed, including line operators and lift truck operators. The position demands a strong focus on safety, adhering to all safety policies such as Machine Guarding, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout all aspects of their work.

This role demands not only technical know-how but also physical stamina. Candidates must be capable of standing for extended periods, working in refrigerated environments, handling repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, and utilizing powered industrial trucks such as forklifts. The ability to climb ladders, crawl under equipment, and work at heights is also required. For those with bilingual skills in Spanish and English, the position offers a preferred advantage in facilitating communication across a diverse workforce. Basic computer skills and applicable technical certifications are preferred but not mandatory, indicating Latitude 36 Foods’ commitment to developing talent for long-term success.
