Job Description
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), based in Cudahy, California, is a distinguished industry leader specializing in manufacturing highly engineered components and sub-assemblies for the commercial aerospace, military, and industrial markets. With more than 30 years of experience, CPP is recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and precision. The company offers a comprehensive “total solution” approach, guiding customers from initial concept through to finished products. This approach involves utilizing one of the broadest and most diversified product offerings in the aerospace manufacturing sector. CPP prides itself on fostering a dynamic work environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and excellence among its employees. The organization believes in harnessing talent to drive success and is continually expanding its capabilities to meet evolving industry demands.
The Maintenance Mechanic position available for the 2nd shift (1:30 pm to 10:00 pm) provides an exciting opportunity to join the growing CPP team at their aerospace manufacturing facility in Cudahy. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of critical equipment. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $33 to $38 based on experience, with an additional $2.50 shift differential for evening hours. Alongside the attractive pay, employees benefit from a generous overtime program, quarterly bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, as well as a 401k plan with employer matching, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
As a Maintenance Mechanic at CPP, the individual will be expected to troubleshoot and repair various electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment, prioritizing safety and compliance with all company protocols. The role includes performing scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as emergency repairs across the plant’s systems. Fabrication work using machinery such as lathes, mills, and welding equipment is also part of the daily responsibilities. CPP highly values employees who demonstrate excellent decision-making skills, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires flexibility to work overtime and weekends as operational demands necessitate. Candidates must meet eligibility criteria as required by ITAR regulations, meaning they must be U.S. persons legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. This requirement underscores the sensitive and critical nature of CPP’s products and the importance of compliance with federal regulations.
Joining CPP means becoming part of a reputable aerospace manufacturing company that values skilled talent and offers career growth opportunities in a supportive and innovative setting. The Maintenance Mechanic role is designed for individuals who are eager to apply their technical expertise in an environment committed to excellence and continuous improvement. Whether you have experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), or welding, CPP encourages candidates to bring their unique skills to the table and grow alongside a company dedicated to manufacturing precision products that impact aerospace and defense sectors globally.
