Job Description

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is a distinguished manufacturer specializing in highly engineered components and sub-assemblies, serving the commercial aerospace, military, and industrial markets. With over 30 years of industry experience, CPP has established itself as a trusted provider of small-to-large "function critical" products essential for various high-precision applications. The company's comprehensive approach offers customers a "total solution" from concept and design to the finished product, making it one of the broadest and most diverse suppliers in the aerospace manufacturing sector. Operating out of its aerospace manufactory in Cudahy, California, CPP emphasizes quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, supported by a skilled workforce and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The Maintenance Mechanic role at CPP is a vital position responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment used in production. This full-time, first-shift role (5:00am - 1:30pm) reports directly to the Operations Manager and offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $33 to $38 depending on experience, with significant opportunities for overtime. The company also provides a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k plan with employer match, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and a quarterly bonus program. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking career growth within a stable, growth-oriented aerospace manufacturer.

In this position, the Maintenance Mechanic will play a crucial role in performing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of various manufacturing equipment to reduce downtime and maintain a safe working environment. The candidate will prioritize safety-related work orders, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and execute emergency repairs. The role also involves fabrication tasks requiring skills in lathe and mill operation along with welding, particularly MIG and stick welding. Candidates must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed to support plant operations. Additionally, this position requires knowledge and experience working with PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) as well as proficiency in electrical testing equipment and mechanical hand tools.

Since the role involves access to hardware and information governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), applicants must be U.S. persons as legally defined, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, political asylees, or refugees. CPP is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and compliance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and California Fair Chance Act. All applicants are considered without discrimination based on legally protected statuses. This is a prime opportunity to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer that values the skill, dedication, and professionalism of its workforce while providing competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
