Westminster Place, part of the Presbyterian Living family, is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join their maintenance department. The position operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with an on-call requirement 24/7, demonstrating the critical nature of the role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. With an hourly rate ranging from $22.95 to $32.09 based on experience and a $1,500 sign-on bonus, this is an excellent opportunity for maintenance professionals to join a respected organization.

As a Maintenance Mechanic 2 at Westminster Place, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep, repair, and improvement of facility systems to provide an optimal living environment for seniors. This role demands proficiency across a broad range of maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and flooring installation. Specific responsibilities include installing and repairing hot water heaters, fixing faucets and drains, replacing switches, receptacles, and wiring, as well as installing woodbase, flooring, and glass. The role requires working both independently and efficiently while maintaining a keen eye for detail to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance
  • ability to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and flooring tasks
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • availability for on call shifts
  • good physical condition
  • proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • Must have knowledge in all areas of maintenance: plumbing, minor electrical repairs, carpentry, flooring
