As part of a Fortune 150 company with over $23 billion in revenue, Core-Mark's expansive footprint includes numerous distribution centers across the United States and Canada. With a strong reputation for empowering its customers, employees, and communities, Core-Mark continues its trajectory of growth and innovation by delivering essential food products and services on a massive scale. The company values inclusivity and diversity, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees regardless of background, race, gender identity, or other protected characteristics in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
The Maintenance Mechanic role at Core-Mark is a critical position that supports the safety and operational efficiency of its warehouse and facility environments. This position offers competitive pay of up to $23.00 per hour, based on experience, and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, making it an ideal fit for those seeking a stable and consistent work routine. Core-Mark provides comprehensive benefits from the first day of employment, including health and wellness programs, an employee stock purchase plan, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off among other perks.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your primary focus will be ensuring that all equipment, facilities, and building infrastructures meet industry safety standards and function efficiently to support the company's food distribution operations. Through regular repairs, adjustments, inspections, and preventative maintenance, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment for associates and contributing to the smooth running of warehouse operations. Responsibilities include conducting electrical and mechanical repairs, performing battery changes on powered industrial trucks (PIT) daily, maintaining cleanliness and order in maintenance areas, and adhering to safety protocols by completing daily safety checks and necessary paperwork.
Working with Core-Mark means joining a company that values recognition, respect, and the personal growth of its employees. The Maintenance Mechanic position not only offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in maintenance and repair but also contributes directly to the essential supply chain that keeps food moving across North America. With a commitment to safety and inclusivity, Core-Mark ensures all employees are supported in their roles within a culture that prizes collaboration and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited for individuals who take pride in their workmanship and desire to be an integral part of a leading food distribution company.
