The Engineering Services Manager for Attractions Maintenance - 3rd Shift plays a crucial leadership role within the Disneyland Resort’s maintenance division. This position leads a skilled team responsible for performing both corrective and preventative maintenance on some of the resort's world-renowned attractions. The manager oversees a team of 20-25 craft workers from varying trades, including mechanical and electrical, requiring a broad understanding of both disciplines. More importantly, the role demands a proactive leader who inspires a can-do mindset, fosters team cohesion, and drives continuous improvement. As the third shift encompasses working hours between 11 PM and 8 AM, flexibility to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours for urgent tasks is essential.

This is a 100% onsite role located at the Disneyland Resort, where the manager reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering Services. The core responsibilities include strategic leadership and operational oversight of attraction engineering teams, ensuring effective scheduling, prioritization, and completion of maintenance tasks while maintaining seamless communication with operations partners. The Engineering Services Manager is expected to ensure compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, and safety standards, while maintaining accurate records and reports.

In this role, the manager actively participates in the field alongside team members within complex attraction environments. Duties include work performed at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying outdoor weather conditions. The position demands a commitment to safety and the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges involving ride mechanical, control, show, building, and electrical systems. Candidates must bring strong leadership experience, technical problem-solving skills, and expertise with computerized maintenance management systems. Proficiency in office software and mobile technology is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a vision for innovation, demonstrated team-building capabilities, and experience managing maintenance projects with a focus on maximizing value and efficiency. Preferred qualifications include experience in budget and scheduling management, proficiency with Maximo software, and a background in maintenance or technical management. The educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with an engineering degree seen as advantageous.

The offered salary range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $115,300 to $140,900 annually, with potential bonuses or long-term incentives. Job Duties

  • Provide leadership to attraction engineering services response teams
  • establish work schedules, shift assignments, and work prioritization
  • ensure customer service and communication to operations teams and other partners, providing accurate information with status updates
  • complete projects that achieve client’s goals and provide creative solutions to maximize value while finding delivery efficiencies
  • promote sound troubleshooting processes of multiple ride systems, including ride mechanical, ride control, show systems, building maintenance, and electrical systems
  • ensure compliance with corporate, governmental, and regulatory agency policies and regulations, maintain appropriate records, and generate required reports
  • ensure Cast Members are trained in and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
  • be active in the field in an attractions environment
  • work from ladders, elevated platforms, and confined spaces at various times
  • work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • work evenings, holidays, weekends, and varying shifts including 3rd shift and working extended hours to complete time-sensitive tasks
