Job Description
Equinox Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing collective of some of the world’s most influential and experiential lifestyle brands. Known globally for their commitment to high-performance living, Equinox Group’s prestigious portfolio includes renowned brands like Equinox, SoulCycle, and Equinox Hotels. These brands are unified by a shared mission to inspire, motivate, and cultivate an energetic lifestyle among members and employees. With numerous locations spanning major cities across the United States, as well as international hubs in London, Toronto, and Vancouver, Equinox Group has established a significant global presence and continues to innovate within the health, fitness, and hospitality spaces.
Equinox Group passionately pursues excellence, believing that everyone holds untapped potential that can only be unleashed through a disruptive and forward-thinking approach. The organization fosters a culture of dreaming big, sweating the details, and delivering an elite experience through a 110% commitment to their community. This ethos is embedded in every level of the company, where humility, teamwork, and a relentless drive to stay ahead of trends in fashion, culture, and consumer behavior form the foundation. Equinox is more than just a company—it is a community vested in the success and well-being of its members and employees.
The Maintenance Manager on Duty role is a critical leadership position within the Equinox team located at Brickell Heights. This position is designed for an energetic, creative, and reliable individual looking to make a significant impact in a high-growth, dynamic environment. The primary responsibility is to ensure that all club and exercise equipment are meticulously maintained, clean, and operational, guaranteeing an exceptional member experience.
The Maintenance Manager on Duty serves as a key point of accountability by leading the maintenance team, supporting the Maintenance Manager, and collaborating closely with the broader management team. Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills are essential, as this role involves training new and existing staff on Equinox’s high standards, inspecting and repairing a wide range of equipment — from cardio and strength machines to climate control and music systems — and managing inventory needs for maintenance supplies. This role also entails overseeing special projects like deep floor cleaning and high dusting.
This position provides a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a company that values high performance both inside and outside the workplace. As part of the Equinox team, the Maintenance Manager on Duty enjoys a work environment steeped in health, fitness, innovation, and excellence, along with the opportunity to grow within a prestigious and well-respected lifestyle brand. Membership perks, incentives, and comprehensive benefits are included as part of being a valued team member. If you are passionate about maintaining clean, efficient, and safe environments, coupled with leadership qualities and a commitment to customer service, this is an exciting career opportunity for you.
