We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to join our team. This role offers a starting annual pay of $100,000 and is a critical position responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within our industrial plant and ensuring the continuous functionality and safety of our equipment and fleet. The Maintenance Manager will directly supervise a team of Maintenance Mechanics and Technicians, guiding them in various skilled trades including welding, electric, and heavy equipment maintenance. The manager will also coordinate internal maintenance activities using digital platforms like MaintainX to streamline scheduling and tracking, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

A major part of the role involves training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions to cultivate a proficient and safety-conscious maintenance team. The Maintenance Manager will serve as a technical expert, providing hands-on support and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to safety and equipment maintenance. The role demands a proactive individual capable of managing purchasing, repairing, and maintaining equipment while estimating labor and material costs accurately to meet budget guidelines. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in skilled trades
  • Valid driver’s license in the work location state
  • Ability to perform heavy physical labor
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
  • Ability to use hands for fine manipulations
  • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb and reach
  • Ability to work around moving machinery and exposure to environmental elements
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without restrictions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in one or more of the skilled trades
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic, and welding
  • Ability to perform skilled journey-level maintenance work
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, assign and review work
  • Ability to train and provide work direction
  • Ability to interpret, explain and apply safety codes and regulations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Ability to meet schedules and timelines
  • Ability to maintain routine records
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Manage team in the maintenance and repair of industrial plant equipment, DOT fleet compliance, heavy equipment, welding, and industrial electric
  • Schedule, direct, and manage a crew of Maintenance Mechanics and Technicians involved in maintenance specialties
  • Provide training, work direction and guidance while performing work in one or more of the skilled trades
  • Scheduling and track work through a digital software such as MaintainX or similar platform
  • Conduct performance reviews, coach team members, and monitor work of assigned crew members
  • Provide disciplinary action to assigned crew as required
  • Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Prioritize, schedule, assign and coordinate the work of assigned staff
  • Construct, rebuild and repair equipment according to assigned job specifications
  • Perform safety compliance advisory
  • Support and maintain 5-S work area
  • Manage purchasing, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Perform troubleshooting to repair or replace equipment
  • Estimate cost of labor and materials for work orders
  • Maintain various records related to labor, materials and work orders
  • Purchase tools, equipment and materials
  • Operate light trucks to pick up and deliver equipment and supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Follow Company Safety policies and standards
