Job Description

Aerospace Dynamics International, Inc. (ADI) is a renowned manufacturer specializing in machined parts and assemblies tailored for the commercial and military aerospace industries. Established as a leading provider of structural components, ADI produces a wide array of aerospace parts including caps, panels, bulkheads, fittings, longerons, spars, chords, wing ribs, thrust reversers, structural machine parts, manufacturing tooling, and stretch form blocks. Since its acquisition by Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in April 2014, ADI has experienced significant capital investments fueling its rapid growth trajectory. With seven facilities located on its Valencia, California campus and a dedicated staff of over 240 full-time employees, ADI stands out as an innovation leader within the aerostructures sector.

PCC itself is a global powerhouse, boasting more than 120 operations and approximately 20,000 employees worldwide. It commands the market in manufacturing complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, forged components, aerostructures, and highly engineered critical fasteners for aerospace applications. Further underscoring PCC’s leadership is their status as the premier producer of airfoil castings for the industrial gas turbine market. The company also delivers extruded seamless pipe, fittings, and forgings for power generation and oil and gas sectors, as well as metal alloys for casting and forging industries. The combined expertise of ADI and PCC ensures uncompromised quality, reliability, and a relentless commitment to low-cost, on-time production paired with strategic, profitable growth.

The Maintenance Machine Mechanic role at ADI is a full-time, on-site position based in Valencia, California within the Aerostructures division. This opportunity is ideal for skilled maintenance mechanics with 4-6 years of experience who are seeking to advance their careers within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. Level two maintenance mechanics work closely under direct supervision as assistant master mechanics, contributing to the operational integrity of highly sophisticated NC (numerically controlled) machines used in the production of critical aerospace components.

Maintenance Machine Mechanics play a vital role in ADI’s manufacturing process by performing crucial retrofits, preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting activities aimed at ensuring machinery operates efficiently and reliably. Using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers, mechanics precisely diagnose and resolve issues with the machines. They also apply fundamental shop math skills for accurate maintenance and repairs. This position demands high attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and adherence to safety protocols.

Employees benefit from competitive hourly wages ranging between $25.00 to $35.00, reflective of skills and experience, and are eligible to participate in the company’s quarterly cash bonus plan. The compensation package includes paid time off totaling 104 hours per year, 10 paid holidays, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans covering employees and their families. Additionally, employees can enroll in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan, supporting long-term financial wellness.

Importantly, because ADI operates under national security controls involving sensitive production processes governed by U.S. export laws – including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) – this position requires applicants to be U.S. persons (such as U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations. Compliance ensures protection of critical aerospace technologies and national security interests.

In summary, this Maintenance Machine Mechanic role offers an exciting chance to contribute to the aerospace industry by maintaining and improving the vital machinery that manufactures components integral to commercial and defense applications. ADI provides a collaborative workplace, robust benefits, and developmental opportunities in a company committed to excellence and growth within aerospace manufacturing.
