As a Maintenance / Porter at Jared Jewelers, this role is critical in maintaining the store’s inviting and orderly environment, which directly contributes to customer satisfaction and supports the overall brand experience. This role involves versatile duties, including performing general maintenance tasks both inside and outside the store, maintaining cleanliness and the aesthetic appeal of the sales floor, and ensuring that all public spaces such as restrooms and break rooms are well-kept and hygienic at all times.

The Maintenance / Porter is also responsible for the upkeep of the store’s glass windows and doors, ensuring they are spotless to preserve a professional and welcoming storefront. The role further requires maintaining the exterior appearance of the store by sweeping, removing debris, and managing trash containers efficiently to uphold a pristine outdoor environment. During winter months, the position involves the crucial task of clearing snow, slush, or ice from in front of the store entrance, safeguarding both customers and staff from potential hazards.

Additionally, this role includes monitoring and coordinating maintenance activities performed by contracted vendors to ensure timely and quality repairs or services, aligning with company standards and expectations. The Maintenance / Porter also utilizes the company’s Electronic Timekeeping System (ETS) in accordance with company guidelines and may be assigned other duties by management, providing flexibility and support across daily store operations.
