Situated in Mesa, Arizona, the role provides a stable work environment within a well-established yet forward-thinking organization.\n\nThe role is designed for a highly skilled maintenance professional adept in a variety of technical trades, ranging from HVAC systems, pumps, motors, overhead doors, and advanced water purification systems such as Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining equipment performance and longevity, supporting production teams by efficiently addressing repair and maintenance priorities. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for reviewing and prioritizing work orders, estimating materials needed, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, and ensuring the availability of critical parts inventories. The job requires working indoors and outdoors, with exposure to a broad range of equipment and environmental conditions.\n\nThe individual will also take part in preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, support operational adherence to 5S methodologies, and maintain order and safety throughout the work area. A key aspect of this role involves detailed record-keeping for repairs, maintenance activities, calibrations, and regulatory compliance audits. The individual must provide technical expertise across all plant departments, reinforcing a culture of safety by promptly reporting any unsafe equipment or practices. Collaborative work with electricians and other skilled trades personnel is essential in resolving complex issues. \n\nIn addition to technical responsibilities, the role encompasses inventory management, fabrication of non-commercially available parts, and preparation of requisitions. Candidates must have a strong foundation in computer usage, including experience with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - skilled in HVAC preventative maintenance and coil/condenser care
- specialized in mechanical repair of overhead doors and dock equipment
- routine maintenance of facility lighting and commercial door hardware
- experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts
- preferred ISO 9001 experience
Job Duties
- Daily communication with production teams to prioritize maintenance work
- review and prioritize work orders for repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment
- estimate material requirements and repair or replace defective parts
- analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational problems
- develop and implement maintenance activities including preventive and predictive maintenance
- maintain general work area following 5S system
- provide technical support to all plant departments regarding machinery and equipment
- analyze HVAC and mechanical issues and collaborate with electricians for electrical troubleshooting
- maintain inventory and quality of tools, parts, and repair supplies
- report unsafe equipment and practices
- write procedures and maintain records of repairs and tests
- ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality regulations including ISO standards
- perform other duties as assigned to support a high performing team
