This full-time position is located at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa and requires working the overnight shift. The role is within the Engineering & Facilities category and is classified as a non-management position. The Maintenance Engineer role is designed for individuals skilled in various aspects of facility upkeep, including preventive maintenance, repair work, and troubleshooting tasks across multiple trades. Key duties include responding promptly to guest repair requests, communicating effectively with guests and team members, and performing preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and building systems. The Maintenance Engineer is expected to possess proficiency across several categories such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, energy conservation, and general building management.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to use hand and power tools safely and competently. Responsibilities extend to repairing or replacing plumbing components, handling electrical equipment repairs, programming in-room technology like televisions, and performing minor surface maintenance such as painting and drywall repair. A strong emphasis is placed on adherence to safety protocols, including the use of Lockout/Tagout systems and proper handling of flammable materials. This role also requires knowledge and practical experience with engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance and energy management.

The Maintenance Engineer will also be expected to mentor and train junior engineers, undertake Engineer on Duty responsibilities, and manage communication across shifts to ensure continuity of operations and problem resolution. Physical demands include moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds, using stairs, ramps, and ladders, and performing tasks involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The role requires a valid driver's license and universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
