Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • knowledge of safety policies and procedures including lock out/tag out and high voltage electrical
  • ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced production environment
  • ability to work shifts including afternoons, midnights, and overtime
  • capacity to work in varying temperatures and climates
  • availability for 60 percent of weekend shifts annually
  • physical ability to stand, bend, twist continuously and lift up to 50 pounds
  • troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high-speed or automated equipment
  • ability to perform inspections and measurements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • knowledge of safety policies and procedures such as lock out/tag out, high voltage electrical
  • highly motivated, self-directed, multi crafted worker able to work autonomously in a fast paced and loud production environment
  • ability to work off shifts including afternoons and midnights and overtime
  • ability to work in varying temperatures and climates
  • must be available for 60 percent of weekend shifts annually
  • ability to continuously stand, bend, and twist and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and implement remedies
  • ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors
  • ability to perform inspections and take measurements to determine wear and replacement
  • preferred 3 years industrial or high-speed manufacturing experience or two-year technical degree
  • PLC programming experience with platforms such as Allen Bradley PLC5, Control Logix, HMI, Siemens, and servo drive
  • ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • experience troubleshooting and re-wiring equipment such as VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
  • computer networking experience preferred
  • ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation
  • ability to perform mechanical work including valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes
  • high voltage work experience

Job Duties

  • work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work order, planners, and part staging
  • assist with process improvement and initiate change
  • clearly communicate maintenance and quality activities using computer reporting systems
  • analyze knowledge and process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities
  • troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive controlled high speed production equipment and batch processes
  • maintain the power distribution of plant equipment
  • interpret schematics and equipment manuals
  • adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements
  • complete assigned work efficiently and per standard operating procedures
  • perform preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance to increase equipment reliability and up-time
  • comply with all safety standards and regulations
  • utilize SAP program to document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the day
