Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- knowledge of safety policies and procedures including lock out/tag out and high voltage electrical
- ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced production environment
- ability to work shifts including afternoons, midnights, and overtime
- capacity to work in varying temperatures and climates
- availability for 60 percent of weekend shifts annually
- physical ability to stand, bend, twist continuously and lift up to 50 pounds
- troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
- ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high-speed or automated equipment
- ability to perform inspections and measurements
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED required
- knowledge of safety policies and procedures such as lock out/tag out, high voltage electrical
- highly motivated, self-directed, multi crafted worker able to work autonomously in a fast paced and loud production environment
- ability to work off shifts including afternoons and midnights and overtime
- ability to work in varying temperatures and climates
- must be available for 60 percent of weekend shifts annually
- ability to continuously stand, bend, and twist and lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and implement remedies
- ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors
- ability to perform inspections and take measurements to determine wear and replacement
- preferred 3 years industrial or high-speed manufacturing experience or two-year technical degree
- PLC programming experience with platforms such as Allen Bradley PLC5, Control Logix, HMI, Siemens, and servo drive
- ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- experience troubleshooting and re-wiring equipment such as VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
- computer networking experience preferred
- ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation
- ability to perform mechanical work including valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes
- high voltage work experience
Job Duties
- work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work order, planners, and part staging
- assist with process improvement and initiate change
- clearly communicate maintenance and quality activities using computer reporting systems
- analyze knowledge and process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities
- troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive controlled high speed production equipment and batch processes
- maintain the power distribution of plant equipment
- interpret schematics and equipment manuals
- adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements
- complete assigned work efficiently and per standard operating procedures
- perform preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance to increase equipment reliability and up-time
- comply with all safety standards and regulations
- utilize SAP program to document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the day
