The role of Building Services Coordinator at Arden Courts is vital to the overall functioning and comfort of the community. This position involves comprehensive responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of all common areas, resident rooms and apartments, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems. The Building Services Coordinator acts as a leader in facilities management, ensuring that all maintenance activities meet or exceed industry standards to deliver excellent service quality and support resident well-being and safety. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, handling repairs across multiple trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and minor construction, alongside regular ground maintenance tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach combined with leadership skills to coordinate maintenance activities efficiently.

The Building Services Coordinator must possess a strong foundation in building plant operations backed by 1-2 years of relevant experience. Effective communication skills are essential for success in this role, as it involves interaction with various team members and residents. Physical stamina is also necessary, as the role requires frequent bending, climbing, stooping and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years building plant experience including HVAC maintenance, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, minor construction, and associated repairs
  • Ability to frequently climb, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner

Job Duties

  • Maintain overall maintenance of the community including common areas, resident rooms/apartments, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems

  • Perform HVAC maintenance, plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs and minor construction as required
  • Conduct preventive maintenance of building and ground maintenance tasks
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities efficiently
