As the Building Services Coordinator at Arden Courts, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall integrity and functionality of the living community. This position holds the responsibility for the maintenance of all common areas, resident rooms and apartments, the grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring that all building services meet and exceed quality standards while delivering a safe, comfortable, and aesthetic environment for the residents. The role demands a hands-on approach coupled with the ability to manage and coordinate various maintenance-related tasks effectively.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant building plant experience
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to respond to maintenance emergencies when needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of building plant experience including HVAC maintenance, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and minor construction
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience in preventive maintenance of building and grounds

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance tasks across all community areas including resident apartments and common spaces
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and grounds
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Manage minor construction and repair projects to improve community infrastructure
  • Collaborate with other departments to support resident comfort and safety
