This role involves working as a Custodial and General Maintenance Assistant at one of Brookfield Properties' multifamily residential sites. The position focuses on maintaining both the interior and exterior cleanliness of the property, which includes intensive cleaning tasks like shampooing carpets and pressure washing, along with seasonal duties such as snow removal and trash disposal. Additionally, the role encompasses performing routine maintenance tasks under the guidance of a maintenance supervisor. These tasks might include replacing light bulbs, changing air filters, minor repairs such as caulking and lock maintenance, pool upkeep, and using hand tools safely and efficiently. A critical responsibility is to observe and report any repair needs to maintain the property’s compliance with regulatory standards. This role is suitable for individuals with at least a high school diploma or GED and some preferred experience in commercial or residential property settings. It requires a proactive approach, physical stamina, and the ability to communicate effectively in English, with multilingual skills being an advantage. The hourly pay ranges from $19.87 to $20.57, commensurate with experience, following the union contract guidelines. Job Requirements
