The Custodial and General Maintenance Assistant will perform a variety of duties including heavy cleaning tasks such as shampooing carpets and pressure washing exterior surfaces, as well as outdoor responsibilities like snow removal and trash disposal. Additionally, this role involves basic maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs and air filters, caulking, pool maintenance, and lock repairs under the supervision of the maintenance manager. As a vital member of the property management team, this individual will need to report any needed repairs to help ensure the property meets all regulated standards and remains a welcoming environment for all residents.\n\nThis position requires a high school diploma or GED, and while prior experience in commercial or multi-unit residential properties is preferred, it is not mandatory. The role also demands competency in computer and smartphone use, along with effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Multilingual abilities are considered an advantage. The Custodial and General Maintenance Assistant reports directly to the maintenance supervisor and operates within a team focused on providing excellent property upkeep and resident satisfaction.
