Headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, Penske’s team is driven by a dedication to quality service and continuous improvement in transportation solutions across the globe.
The Maintenance Coordinator position, based full-time at the Norcross, GA branch located at 2300 Weaver Way, plays a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance services. The role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, providing administrative and inventory management support essential to the seamless running of the maintenance branch. This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and helps maximize profitability by maintaining precise inventory control and facilitating the flow of parts and service operations.
As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory productivity at one or multiple branches to guarantee timely service and minimize any risks related to inventory loss. This involves maintaining optimal inventory levels by carefully ordering parts and working closely with centralized parts ordering teams to ensure suppliers deliver defect-free parts on schedule. Your duties also include receiving and organizing parts for easy access, conducting regular inventory counts, and managing specific inventories such as batteries and tires to ensure the right quantities and specifications are available when needed. Additionally, coordination with the warranty department to manage timely shipment and receipt of warranty items is crucial.
This role requires close partnership with the Customer Service Coordinator and vendors to schedule repairs aligned with parts availability and to uphold vendor accountability and correct payment processing. Analytical responsibilities include conducting process reviews focused on areas such as inventory management, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, and repair order evaluations, using systems like ServiceNet or AS400 to identify issues and recommend improvements that enhance profitability and efficiency.
The Maintenance Coordinator further supports the financial management of the branch by providing insightful data and contributing to overall branch performance. You will also assist with various projects and tasks as assigned by the Branch and District Financial Managers.
This role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively within the branch team, and a commitment to continuous learning and agility in a dynamic work environment. Required are advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and the capacity for regular and predictable attendance. The position also requires willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening, and the physical ability to handle tasks involving lifting and movement in the workspace.
Working at Penske means joining a company that values equal employment opportunities and promotes a respectful and supportive workplace. If you are eager to contribute to one of the most recognized names in transportation and logistics with a meaningful role in maintenance coordination, this opportunity in Norcross, GA offers a stable, full-time position with a schedule conducive to work-life balance.
