The Maintenance Coordinator role at Mayo Clinic is an integral part of the Facilities Operations team, reporting directly to the Unit Head or Supervisor of Facilities Operations. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $78,270.40 to $117,312.00 and includes full benefits eligibility. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening, night, and weekend duties to meet departmental needs.

In this role, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing the Asset Life Cycle of facilities equipment and systems. This involves sourcing, utilization tracking, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data management, and disposition of facility assets. Working collaboratively with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering Specialists, Safety personnel, and Allied Health staff, the coordinator supports smooth and efficient facility operations. The role includes coordinating and monitoring warranty work performed by Mayo Facilities staff, contractors, and subcontractors.

Moreover, the Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role in developing and implementing schedules for planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance of equipment, systems, tools, and buildings. Accurate and thorough documentation of facilities assets, including additions, deletions, relocations, and disposals, is essential for maintaining operational integrity and compliance.

This position requires working independently under general direction while fostering cooperative relationships across internal departments, making it ideal for candidates with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of facilities management principles. Candidates with knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance principles and technical proficiencies in plumbing, HVAC/R, electrical, and mechanical systems will find success in this position. Additionally, proficiency with CMMS software and common office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are important for effective communication and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or 2-year vocational certificate/license
  • minimum 4 years of facilities management experience
  • or minimum 8 years experience without degree
  • familiarity with maintenance procedures and general maintenance processes
  • sound judgement and excellent rapport with staff
  • demonstrated proficiency using CMMS
  • proficiency in office software
  • ability to work independently and cooperatively

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Associate degree or 2-year vocational certificate/license required
  • minimum 4 years of demonstrated facilities management experience
  • or minimum 8 years of facilities management experience without degree
  • familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance principles
  • knowledge of plumbing, HVAC/R, electrical, and mechanical systems
