The Maintenance Associate role at Novolex is an essential position focused on maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of production equipment and facilities. This full-time role operates on a 7 PM to 7 AM schedule, following a 2-2-3 shift pattern, and offers a competitive pay range of $29.93 to $41.02 per hour, paid weekly. The successful applicant will perform preventative maintenance and tier 1 repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems supporting production equipment and utilities. This job requires a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, mechanical aptitude, process troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with specific equipment such as Davis Standard, TSL, Allen Bradley, and Siemens machinery.

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for operating necessary tools and equipment safely, including forklifts, man-lifts, and elevated work platforms. Daily responsibilities include following lock-out/tag-out safety procedures, maintaining a tidy work environment, and communicating effectively with team members and supervisors about any issues or carry-over tasks. Mechanical duties encompass diagnosing problems, disassembling and repairing machinery such as motors, conveyors, belts, and chains, performing lubrication and adjustments, reading mechanical prints, and sometimes conducting minor welding or machine work. Electrical tasks involve supporting repairs on 480V 3-phase motors, motor starters, VFD drives, photo-optic sensors, and ensuring electrical systems are kept safe according to established programs. The role demands strong problem-solving abilities, the capacity to perform simple calculations, computer proficiency, and excellent communication skills. The successful Maintenance Associate will work independently yet also support team development through training others.
