We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Program Manager to join our team and support the maintenance of automated systems and equipment across multiple distribution centers. This hands-on, cross-functional role is critical for ensuring the highest levels of equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safety compliance. The Maintenance Program Manager will be responsible for leading preventative maintenance initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with site leadership and technicians to maintain uptime for vital conveyor and material handling equipment.
The role involves significant technical problem solving and field leadership, including supervising maintenance execution, participating in continuous improvement programs, and overseeing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) implementation and administration. This position requires operational flexibility, including travel between sites and weekend work for critical projects like go-lives and preventative maintenance efforts.
Candidates will work primarily in active warehouse and industrial environments, navigating varied site conditions and engaging with automated machinery. Physical mobility and comfort working around moving equipment are essential. The Maintenance Program Manager will play a key role in maintaining safety-first practices, conducting routine inspections, documenting and escalating operational issues, and supporting accurate maintenance demands and parts inventory management.
ThriftBooks offers a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive pay, paid time off with an accrual rate of 15 days per year, six paid holidays annually, medical, vision, and dental insurance, company-paid short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, annual bonus incentives, and a 401k match program. Additionally, professional development and growth opportunities abound at ThriftBooks, where hardworking employees can thrive in a positive and fun work environment — plus, employees enjoy free books as part of their benefits.
Joining ThriftBooks means becoming part of a diverse, inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity and employee well-being. We take pride in celebrating diversity across all dimensions and creating a community where all employees can succeed without barriers. This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Program Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site industrial environment and wants to contribute to the success of a purpose-driven company dedicated to sustainability and growth.
