With a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and service excellence, Charles Tini & Associates Inc. stands out as a leader in managing HUD and Tax Credit-regulated affordable housing communities. Their well-rounded approach ensures not just physical maintenance but also the creation of environments that support long-term residency and community growth.
The firm prides itself on maintaining compliance with a variety of housing regulations, including HUD, REAC, Tax Credits, and Section 8 housing standards, ensuring that every property meets or exceeds all necessary requirements. The role of Maintenance Technician at Charles Tini & Associates Inc. is a critical position focused on maintaining the physical integrity, safety, and cleanliness of affordable housing communities. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to service and regulatory compliance while working under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring that the housing units and community areas remain in excellent condition and meet the stringent standards required by HUD and other regulatory bodies.
Ideal candidates for this position are dependable, organized, and have a hands-on approach to maintenance work. They understand the importance of quick response times to resident requests and maintenance issues, while also balancing the need for professionalism and quality workmanship. Additionally, the Technician supports unit turnovers to ensure apartments are ready for new residents, meeting all program requirements and quality expectations.
This position requires a versatile skill set, including competencies in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Maintenance Technicians will troubleshoot and repair wiring and circuits, fix plumbing issues such as leaks and clogged drains, assist in heating and cooling system upkeep, diagnose appliance problems, and handle carpentry repairs including stairs, railings, cabinets, and fencing. They are also responsible for maintaining safety features such as door locks, smoke detectors, gas fixtures, and security systems when applicable.
Working at Charles Tini & Associates Inc. offers an opportunity to be part of a team that values safety, community, and quality service. Technicians will be involved in pre-REAC inspections and remediation tasks to ensure that properties comply with all safety and regulatory standards. Applicants with experience in affordable housing or familiarity with software tools like HappyCo will find their skills especially valued.
Overall, this role offers a rewarding chance to contribute positively to affordable housing communities while growing professionally within a reputable and supportive organization. The company also provides numerous benefits and opportunities for advancement, supporting employee development and well-being at every stage.
